When Should You Start Planning for College…

….9th,10th,11th,or 12th Grade????

As I said before and I am sure I will say many times again, HAVING A 529 SAVING “PLAN” IS NOT  ACTUALLY A SAVINGS PLAN. It is a qualified tuition savings program. Rarely is there a plan involved. If you are a parent that has started and contributed to a program as such or something similar since your kids were toddlers or even younger… great job!! However, true college planning is not the same as saving for college. Planning can start as early as 8th grade. Every parent and students’ goal when starting high school should be to prepare for the next level in life. That includes higher education. If you know college is in the future NOW is the time to create a plan.
